Estamos em 2024 e, ao realizar uma pesquisa na Wikipedia por possíveis listas de jogos dos últimos 40 anos (desde 1984), é inegável que o ano de 1994 foi um dos melhores para os gamers em todos os tempos.

Naquele ano, o Super Nintendo e o Mega Drive estavam em alta, enquanto o Atari Jaguar e o 3DO haviam sido lançados no ano anterior. O Game Boy estava repleto de jogos e os consoles de 32 bits, como o Sega Saturn e o PSX, estavam programados para serem lançados no final daquele ano.
A quantidade absurda de jogos lançados para os 16-bit foi impressionante. Sinceramente, se alguém não encontrasse um jogo que gostasse naquela época, é possível que essa pessoa simplesmente não gostasse de videogames.
Historicamente falando, nosso país passou por uma ótima mudança contra a inflação com o plano real, tivemos a Copa do Mundo de 1994, na qual o Brasil saiu como campeão. Embora sejam ótimas lembranças, esse contexto não é relevante para o tema do site.
Retomando o assunto dos jogos eletrônicos, é verdade que apenas uma pequena parcela dos jogos lançados em 1994 chegou oficialmente ao Brasil, seja pela Tectoy ou pela Playtronic. Por aqui, muitos de nós nos contentamos com o que encontrávamos nas locadoras naquele ano ou por meio da leitura de revistas especializadas como Ação Games, Videogame, SuperGame e GamePower.
